2009 Early Child Professioanls Day

April 17, 2009

Dear Early Childhood Professionals:

In observance of Early Childhood Professionals on May 8, 2009, we are honored to recognize the many individuals caring for young children in Virginia.

Whether you educate children, administer children's programs, advocate for children's rights, or train teachers, you are investing in our most precious resource-our children.

Through your acts of encouragement, affection, and guidance, you help children grow and experience the joy of learning.

Early childhood professionals are responsible for maintaining healthy, safe, and nurturing environments for many of Virginia's next generation. You help keep Virginian's working and are a valuable member of society. You deserve to be acknowledged for the important contribution you make in caring for our young children and giving them quality learning experiences. Your dedication to children and early childhood education is appreciated more than you know.

Attached you will find a copy of the 2009 Governor's Certificate of Recognition for Early Childhood Professionals as a small token of appreciation. We hope that you will print and post this certificate in a prominent place as a reminder of the thanks and gratitude felt by many families, colleagues, and business leaders for early childhood professionals who are building Virginia's future, child by child, day by day.

Sincerely,

Kathy Glazer, Director

Virginia Office of Early Childhood Development
