The National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) has partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy to launch a new program that will provide respite care to Marine Corps and Navy families with children with special needs. The NACCRRA Exceptional Family Member Program Respite Care (EFMP Respite Care) will serve Marine Corps and Navy families based in and around Northern Virginia. Infant/Toddler Child Care Resource and Referral has been awarded the grant to administer EFMP Respite Care in Northern Virginia.
Through NACCRRA EFMP Respite Care, eligible Marine Corps and Navy families can receive up to 40 hours per month of respite care services for children at no cost to the family. Respite care services in the Northern Virginia area will be provided by qualified caregivers recruited and trained in caring for children with special needs by Infant/Toddler Child Care Resource and Referral. EFMP Respite Care will be available to Marine Corps and Navy families stationed in Northern Virginia. The program is currently available to eligible Marine Corps families in Greater San Diego, CA; Northern Virginia; Quantico, VA; Beaufort, SC; Jacksonville, NC and to eligible Navy families in Bremerton, WA; Greater Washington, DC; Jacksonville, FL; Norfolk, VA and San Diego, CA.For more Information about the NACCRRA EFMP Respite Care program, please visit their website here.
Child Care Providers Need For the Marine Corps Respite Care Program
Infant/Toddler Family Day Care is seeking child care providers for the Marine Corps Respite Care Program. Eligible Marine Corps families with children with special needs can receive up to 40 hours per month of respite care.We are seeking individuals who have child care or nursing experience and are able to drive to families’ homes.
